The SRU saw two of its PhD students walk across the stage at the Nelson Mandela University graduation ceremony on Friday the 13th of April 2018.

Dr. Bianca Currie was supervised by Professor Christo Fabricius.  Her work produced a social learning model and monitoring criteria for public participation in environmental governance.  The Knysna Municipality was used as a case study.  Dr. Lisa Heider’s work was also supervised by Professor Christo Fabricius together with Professor Robert Fincham, and was focused on motivation for landscape stewardship as a driver of change in the Garden Route, South Africa.
