Dr. Bianca Currie was supervised by Professor Christo Fabricius. Her work produced a social learning model and monitoring criteria for public participation in environmental governance. The Knysna Municipality was used as a case study. Dr. Lisa Heider’s work was also supervised by Professor Christo Fabricius together with Professor Robert Fincham, and was focused on motivation for landscape stewardship as a driver of change in the Garden Route, South Africa.
